Frequently asked questions

How To Get Here?

The fastest and easiest way to reach Tulum from the Cancun airport is with a direct transfer, which we can have arranged for you. The same transfer service is available for your return to the Cancún airport, however we do not book return transfers. This service should be arranged directly with the transfer operator when you are picked up at the airport. Local taxis are often less expensive for the return trip, and a taxi service back to the airport can be arranged the day before your return at the reception of your hotel. The transfer service runs 24 hours. No time is too late!

How do I get to Azulik?

Driving Directions
If you choose to drive from the Cancún airport, take the highway south until you reach the crossroads leading to the Tulum hotel zone, where you will turn left, heading toward the sea. Once the road forks, turn right. We are the third resort, located just 700 m. from the fork in the road. From Cancún it is about 1 hour and 30 min. drive by car.

Riviera Bus
If you prefer a more economical method of traveling south from the airport to Azulik, you can now take a bus to Playa del Carmen directly from the Cancún International Airport! The new Riviera bus line leaves the airport for Playa.

From Playa del Carmen, you can take either a first- or second-class bus to the Tulum pueblo. First class buses are faster than second class ones, as they do not make as many stops along the highway. Alongside the Tulum pueblo bus station you will find a taxi stop, where you can take a cab directly to Azulik (about $3.50 per car, maximum four people per vehicle, about ten minutes).

If you are arriving on a late flight, it is recommended that you take a shuttle to Azulik, as the ride is much shorter (one and a half hours, as opposed to more than three if you miss the last Riviera bus). If you are not able to take the Riviera bus directly to Playa del Carmen, you will have to take a combi (van) from the Cancún airport to the Cancún city bus terminal (about $8 usd. per person, one hour). From the bus station, you can take a first- or second-class bus directly to Tulum pueblo (about $3.50 usd. per person, two or more hours).
